YU Wenjie, graduated from Nanjing University in 2000, Doctor of Arts, Postdoctoral Fellow in History; apprenticed to Mr. Chen Xiaolv in British History; professor of the School of History in Nanjing University, doctoral supervisor, member of the Academic Committee, Director of the Institute of British and Commonwealth Studies of Nanjing University, executive chief editor of British Studies, was hired as a visiting researcher of the Institute of Historical Research (IHR) of London University in 2009; was elected as the vice president of the Institute of World History, CASS in 2012; was awarded as “Zhao Shiliang Chair Professor” of Nanjing University in September 2018; was appointed as the chief expert of the "Belt and Road" Research Institute of Nanjing University in May 2019; CASS; Executive Director of CHINESE ASSOCIATION FOR EUROPEAN STUDIES.

Major research interests are History of the United Kingdom and commonwealth countries, World History and International Issues, History of World Culture and Arts. Comprehensively sorted out the classic documents of British and Commonwealth national history, advocated the comprehensive construction of Chinese perspectives, Chinese categories and Chinese discourse system of researches on British history in China; advocated the integration of teaching and scientific research, talent cultivation, international cooperation and social service around the center of talents. Published more than 20 kinds of works in the People's Publishing House, the Commercial Press, SDX Joint Publishing Company, China Social Sciences Press, Shanghai People's Publishing House, etc.; published nearly 100 papers in famous academic journals at home and abroad such as SSCI Journal, Historical Research, World History, And Historical Theory Research, etc.; preside over the National Social Science Foundation of China, "the Documentation and Research on Archives of the Pacific Silk Road"; preside over the Sino-British cooperation project "History of British Civilization" (multi-volume, Shanghai People's Publishing House, 2021-2023); presided over the China-Pakistan cooperation project Interview on Traditional Culture of Countries Along the Belt and Road (People's Publishing House, 2021).
